To claim a cow is CO2 friendly is quite a claim … but it can be true.

Happy cows

Farmer Simon Simonsen from Skanderup, Denmark has connected his Lely Astronaut robotic milking system with a
BOE-THERM VP3.
Result: 8,7 kW power supply makes up to 24 kW cooling capacity and 30 kW heating capacity.

This gives us nice cold fresh milk and Simon Simonsen a nice warm 450m2 house.

Description of the system

The accumulation tank Lely Astronaut robotic milking system is cooled by BOE-THERM VP3 HEAT PUMP.
This process produces heat that we need to move.
The VP3 moves it to the accumulation tank for the central heating of the house.
In cases were the milk is being cooled and there is no need for heating in the house, the VP3 moves the heat to the tubes in the field.
In cases were the house is being heated and there in no neat of cooling, the VP3 is cooling the tubes in the field.
